Borkumriff II would make the “perfect Christmas gift” for a superyacht owner with a taste for the finest things in life.
Borkumriff II, the delightfully unique 31m schooner, is now listed for sale and would make an excellent acquisition for a buyer with a spirit for adventure and a taste for luxury. The steel-hulled work of art is the second in a legendary series of traditionally styled sailing yachts and the first of two Borkumriffs to be designed by Lunstroo.
A TASTE FOR ELEGANCE
A perfect blend of classic styling and comfortable, modern living, she makes the perfect setting for long-distance adventures or shorter cruises, having sailed around the world and previously crossed the Atlantic four times.
IMMACULATELY PRESENTED
Presented in immaculate condition, she was originally delivered by German builder Lubbe Voss in 1982. After an extensive 18-month rebuild in 2009 that saw all her onboard systems replaced or renewed, she was given further updates in 2019 and 2020 refits that saw her outfitted with a contemporary new interior as well as all-new sails and a full hull repaint in timeless black and off-white.
SPACE FOR EVERYONE
There is accommodation for up to eight guests in four cabins, including a queen-size owner’s cabin, a double cabin and two twin cabins, while a further two cabins sleep up to four crew. When powered by her 300hp John Deere engine, Borkumriff II has a maximum speed of 10 knots and cruising speed of 8 knots, which gives her a range of approximately 2,200nm. Alongside her LOA of 31.0m, she has a beam of 6.1m and a draft of 3.0m.
TAKE A TOUR ONBOARD
As soon as you step onboard, Borkumriff II’s pristine decks and gleaming hardware transport you to an era of elegance and charm, with her stunning classic wooden runabout tender poised to take you on a tour of the areas or further adventures ashore. Her transom is filled with watersports equipment ready to entertain the whole family.
RELAXATION OR ACTION ON DECK
In the deck’s generous seating area with convertible table just forward of the helm, imagine dining under the stars at anchor or enjoying a long lunch in the shade of the bimini. While away an afternoon of relaxation in a lounger on the foredeck while you soak up the surroundings of a secluded bay, or get involved in the action as your crew masterfully maneuver Borkumriff II under sail.
TIMELESS STYLING MEETS COMFORT
Head down to the wheelhouse to enjoy a quiet morning coffee at the comfortable L-shaped sofa, illuminated by the large skylight above, where the navigation station is discreetly positioned without obstructing the views of the surroundings. From here, head aft to the privacy of the striking full beam owner’s cabin, which has been fully refurbished, or forward to the dining-saloon with its convivial seating at the large dining table, TV, service bar and desk area.
The neighboring galley is kitted out with premium Miele and AEG equipment and there is plenty of storage for longer voyages. Like elsewhere across her elegant interior, Borkumriff II’s plush ensuite guest cabins feature paneling in warm-hued, varnished wood and boast ample storage, a stereo system, TV and air conditioning system modernizations.
A TURNKEY OPPORTUNITY
Listed for sale with the brokerage firm YachtFull, Borkumriff II is currently lying in northern Holland, approximately one hour from Schiphol Airport.
