Having successfully run the regatta in September 2020 under strict guidelines, we are looking forward to this year’s Cowes Spring Classics being as close to normal as possible (apart from being in summer not spring!). We are ready to welcome the owners, skippers, crew and their fabulous classic yachts for the fourth edition of the Regatta.
With the support of Cowes Harbour Commission, the regatta will again be based at Shepards Marina. We will have exclusive use of The Sugar Store for our evening social events, crew BBQ on Friday and dinner on Saturday, but this year the Sugar Store will be open during the day offering coffee, beers and pizza every day from 11.00 for friends and family not out on the water.
The racing, organised once again by the Cowes Corinthian Yacht Club, will be as published in the Notice of Race (download below) and the Sailing Instructions will be available a few days before the regatta. A Racing WhatsApp Group will be set up so that competitors can receive all communications from the Race Team.
We are delighted that the Isle of Wight Distillery will again be supporting the Friday evening Welcome Drinks with a Blue Mermaid Gin & Tonic, and Henri-Lloyd are continuing their support as Official Race Clothing Partner with a range of regatta clothing.
For the social events, the programme will be as follows:
Friday 20 August
