At Camper & Nicholsons, we think the time has come to consider yacht charter from a new angle. It’s yachting how we know it, but rarely think of it: the yacht as the destination.
A private bubble of unrivalled luxury and services, on a yacht charter to nowhere the world’s most spectacular yachting locations become a backdrop for the incredible array of experiences you can enjoy onboard. Reboot in revitalizing wellness areas, work out in energizing fitness spaces, unwind in breezy beach clubs, nourish with inventive haute-cuisine, connect with advanced technology, or ride carefree on state-of-the-art water toys. Today’s fleet of superyachts are so extensively equipped that you won’t want — or need — to step ashore during your charter at all.
Every day brings a new adventure at sea as the Captain and crew customise the itinerary according to your personal preferences. The yacht becomes a stage from which imaginatively-styled high teas, fancy dress evenings and formal banquets emerge. Or a classroom where you can learn new skills such as diving, fishing, navigation or cooking. A yacht is an arena to show off your talents during onboard Olympiads or golf competitions, or a setting to search for hidden treasure. And it’s a cinema where you can sit back and catch the latest movies on a big screen under the stars.
A yacht charter to nowhere can be anything and everything you want it to be.
Leave the stress of 2020 behind on board these three destination superyachts:
Large groups of extended family and friends can leave the 9 to 5 behind onboard M/Y TRANQUILITY, an award-winning 91.5-metre Oceanco superyacht that was built to the Passenger Yacht Code by Oceanco and delivered in 2014. The vessel can accommodate up to 26 guests in 11 staterooms, although its large volumes and wide beam ensure that the Winch Design-styled interior spaces never feel cramped.
Guests can devote entire days to wellness thanks to the yacht’s beach club and fully-equipped gym, spa suite with Hamman, sauna and massage room, and large swimming pool, although there’s also plenty of scope for unbridled fun thanks to a fleet of tenders and toys that include seabobs, paddleboards and an inflatable trampoline. The Master Stateroom comes complete with an office should business call.
Embarkation/Disembarkation: Maldives
Up to 12 guests in seven staterooms can live their best life, Great Gatsby style, onboard M/Y SILVER ANGEL, a 64.5-metre Benetti launched in 2009. While the stunning, Roaring-20’s-inspired, monochrome interior design is thoroughly on-trend, the yacht is a timeless classic on the charter market thanks to its spacious living and sleeping arrangements, selection of entertaining and dining areas (including four bars), steam room and pool, and a five-deck exterior configuration that includes a sun-deck Jacuzzi and bar and lounge seating. When guests have had enough channelling Jay Gatsby and friends, there’s a fully-equipped gym and large array of toys and sporting goods (including scuba diving equipment and a golf machine) to offer plenty of distraction.
Embarkation/Disembarkation: Maldives
After 20 years of chartering other people’s yachts, M/Y TRENDING’s owners decided it was time to buy their own and use their extensive yachting experience to create the perfect charter vessel. The result is this 50-metre Westport that can accommodate 12 guests in six staterooms. Launched in 2006, during a $4 million refit at the time of purchase in 2015/2016, the yacht’s interiors were completely redesigned with a focus on luxury furnishings that combine elegance and comfort, while windows were enlarged to optimize both views and light without compromising on privacy and two deck areas were extended. The vessel is fully equipped with the latest media and entertainment systems and boasts one of the finest collections of water toys at sea. Among her professional crew area Michelin-experienced chef and a kitesurfing and PADI dive instructor.
Embarkation/Disembarkation: Antigua, St. Barths and St. Maarten
